  • Dr. Stephen G. Huk, M.D.

    • Undergraduate degree in pre-medicine from University of Notre Dame.
    • Medical doctorate degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine.
    • Dr. Huk served his residency in psychiatry and his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at St. Louis University Hospital. He was a clinical instructor in the department of psychiatry at St. Louis University before he relocated to Kansas City where he was a founding partner of Kansas City Psychiatric Group, one of the largest psychiatric practices in the state.

Dr. Huk has 34 years of experience as a physician, including treatment of a  full range of child and adult psychiatric disorders. He has a special interest in childhood anxiety, depression, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).  Dr. Huk is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Huk chose to pursue psychiatry because he found that it afforded him two opportunities:  first, it allowed him to become meaningfully involved in the overall wellness and happiness of his patients who struggle with complex illnesses; second, it allowed him an ongoing relationship with patients over time so he could witness the personal growth and life accomplishments that every person strives for. He believes that the privilege and reward of caring for a troubled child through adolescence and into successful adulthood is a remarkable experience.
